A desire to gather others around a topic, interest, or challenge. A group of 3-15 people willing to meet consistently for a period, which you can define based on your understanding of the group. A place to gather can be anything from a coffee shop to a Zoom call.
Your bandwidth to lead, host, develop, market, promote, and grow. Start with either a networking focus, a support focus, or a learning focus (but not all of them, and not at the same time). Consider who could be able to support you in this adventure. Who’s someone with a passion for connection and would be interested in partnering with you to co-host events or develop some programming from their life experiences?
Earn your members' trust by showing up authentically; be yourself! Define what the purpose of the group is and what you’ll be talking about. Share vulnerability as a leader; it will inspire your members to see you, and in turn, they will feel that they can be their authentic selves since you’ve modelled this for them.
Get ready with your questions for Deb! Imogen will be moderating and we want you to be part of it!
Stay for the networking session and meet in break-out rooms with more community builders like you!
